How do I opt into B Corp Certification

Modified on Wed, 19 Feb at 10:01 AM

The certification setup experience will take you through a personalized questionnaire to check your company's eligibility for certification and understand the scope of your company's operations. By getting to know more about your company, we'll be able to tailor your assessment to your company's size, industry, and location.

Once you have completed all sections, you will receive your company's assessment and can start measuring your company's impact.

After you create an account and register your name, you will pass the Building the B Corp movement introduction page to arrive at the Certification interest page.

There will be an option to select “Yes, we want to certify”. If you are not interested in certification at this time, select the option: “Nope, we aren’t interested at this time”.

If you have selected this intentionally or in error, there is still a way to opt into certification again.

Start with navigating to the Certify tab on the left side menu of your view.  Click “Get started” on the card Ready to start your certification journey.

Select Gather company documents and confirm all the requirements as part of the section. Click “Complete section”. The next section Eligibility: Ownership type will open upon this update. This will start the certification process and you can navigate through each section to review your preliminary eligibility for certification.

If you have not opted into the B Corp certification process, all sections of the Certify tab will indicate a “View only” for sections required for certification. You can still opt into the experience by starting with section 1: Gather company documents.
