Risk Standards and Controversial Issues (overview)

  • Companies with direct involvement in controversial industries (when the company is part of the industry - occurs when a company’s own actions or omissions directly leads to adverse impacts. In this case, the company could be ineligible for B Corp Certification, or need to meet additional requirements in order to proceed)

  • Companies with clients in controversial industries (when a company is not directly involved in a controversial industry or practice, but has clients in such industries, and may be required to meet additional requirements in order to be eligible for B Corp Certification.)
