Certified B Corporations (B Corps or B Corporations for short) are leaders of a global movement of people using business as a force for good.B Corps are for-profit businesses throughout the globe that have earned B Corp certification. B Corps are certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. B Corp certification is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee or USDA Organic certification is to milk. Today, there is a growing community of more than 1,700 Certified B Corps from 42 countries and over 130 industries working together toward 1 unifying goal: to redefine success in business.

Important: Nonprofits can not pursue certification but can use the Assessment as a tool to improve their practices. Also, becoming a Certified B Corp does not change your tax status, nor does meeting the B Corp legal requirements. Learn more about the B Corp legal requirements here.
